Job Description:
  1. Site Preparation & Setting Out: Coordinate surveys, benchmarks, levels, earthworks, construction platforms, site access, temporary works, and layout control before major factory works begin.
  2. Factory Foundations & Concrete Works: Oversee foundations, reinforced concrete works, structural steel erection, and building construction.
  3. Structural Steel & Building Works: Monitor erection of steel frames, columns, trusses, purlins, platforms, walkways, stairs, bracing, roof works, and corrosion protection against approved drawings.
  4. Equipment Bases & Service Trenches: Ensure mill, boiler, turbine, process, pump, tank, and conveyor foundations are correctly positioned for later mechanical and electrical installation.
  5. Roads, Drainage & Yards: Supervise internal roads, culverts, stormwater drains, hardstands, laydown areas, workshops, stores, staff facilities, and other enabling infrastructure.
  6. Contractor Coordination: Allocate work fronts, review method statements, raise site instructions, respond to RFIs, monitor resources, and keep contractors aligned with the construction programme.
  7. Quality Control: Inspect materials and workmanship, verify test records, prepare snag lists, manage non-conformances, and confirm readiness before handover to follow-on trades.
  8. Safety & Environmental Control: Work with the HSE team to control risks from excavations, heavy plant, lifting, hot works, working at height, dust, heat, traffic, and waste handling.
  9. Cost & Schedule Support: Track quantities, progress, variations, delays, and claims in coordination with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
  10. Reporting & Records: Prepare daily and weekly reports, photos, inspection records, test summaries, drawing registers, issue logs, as-built inputs, and handover documentation.
